Our Work

Goshalaya

It’s been our long-awaited dream to open a Goshalaya
in the city of Bangalore.

Animal Rescue Centre

We aim to establish a sanctuary for abused and abandoned animals of all sizes.

Old Age Home

The elderly are a vital segment of any population and deserve respect and attention.

Covid Initiatives

Navigating life’s intricate fabric, choices unfold paths to the extraordinary creativity.

We are actively engaging with various organizations to assist them in securing the funding and skills they require. Additionally, we have launched several projects and are continually exploring new opportunities to create meaningful change in the lives of the less fortunate. Our goal is to connect those in need with those eager to provide support, bridging the gap and fostering positive impact.

Our additional initiatives include:

  • Planting saplings weekly across various locations in the city.
  • Distributing food and water to dogs.
  • Organizing small-scale clean-up efforts with the help of volunteers.
  • Raising awareness about women’s empowerment, girls’ education, and the importance of hygiene in rural areas.
  • Promoting dog adoption and discouraging the purchase of dogs from unethical breeders.
  • Offering job opportunities for women and individuals in need.

Goshalaya

Our vision extends beyond traditional animal welfare to deeply respect the vital role cows play in Indian society. By establishing a sanctuary for these gentle animals, we aim to provide not only safety, nourishment, and medical care but also to honor long-standing traditions and values. Our goshalaya will offer a refuge for neglected, abandoned, or injured cows, embodying our commitment to fostering harmony between humans and animals.

Beyond providing shelter, our goshalaya will promote community engagement, environmental stewardship, and sustainable living. Through educational programs, organic farming initiatives, and volunteer opportunities, we seek to empower individuals to become compassionate stewards of the environment and advocates for animal rights. By upholding principles of empathy, sustainability, and cultural preservation, we envision our goshalaya as a transformative force in Bangalore, enriching lives and cultivating a more compassionate society for future generations.

Animal Rescue Centre

In a country where the bond between humans and animals is deeply cherished, there is a significant need for a sanctuary that embraces all species—a refuge for creatures both large and small. Our vision goes beyond traditional animal shelters; we aim to create a comprehensive rescue and rehabilitation center for a diverse range of animals, including horses, donkeys, cows, birds, as well as dogs and cats.

We acknowledge the urgent need for such a facility in India, where options for both large working animals and small animal rescues are limited. By implementing innovative programs, engaging in community outreach, and forming partnerships with local stakeholders, we aspire to address this gap and set a new standard for animal welfare in our country and beyond.

Old Age Home

As family structures evolve and modernization progresses, the elderly face increasing challenges in maintaining a dignified and respectful quality of life. Issues such as loneliness, neglect, limited importance, and health problems associated with aging contribute to their difficulties. The very old, often with reduced mobility and significant disabilities, require assistance from others for daily activities.

With the rise of nuclear families and fewer children in households, caring for older family members has become more challenging. Thus, it is crucial to protect elderly individuals who are neglected, mistreated, and vulnerable. Poverty remains a major concern, as it exacerbates the risk of abuse and limits access to essential healthcare. Additionally, financial dependence, migration of younger generations, inadequate family care, insufficient housing, economic hardship, and the decline of joint families make old age homes increasingly relevant, even in the Indian context.

Our goal is to establish a sustainable and supportive living environment for senior citizens, offering a quality of life that helps residents maintain their independence, identity, and sense of value.

Covid-19 Initiatives

For many years, we have been dedicated to serving the community in various ways. However, the Covid-19 pandemic revealed that we had only begun to make an impact, highlighting the need for a more extensive effort to truly enhance the lives of those in need.

During the 2020 lockdown, amid shortages and restrictions, we took proactive steps to support the community. We distributed masks daily to tens of thousands of people, totaling 100,000 masks across various locations in Bangalore. Additionally, we provided 1,000 meal boxes each day for two months to families and healthcare professionals, including doctors involved in the vaccination efforts throughout the city. We also distributed water bottles and food to police officers working tirelessly on the front lines.

We distributed 2,000 ration kits, each containing essential items like rice, oil, flour, and sugar, to various families. Furthermore, we supported frontline and BBMP workers with food, water, and masks and provided isolation kits to families in need.

We take pride in the incremental changes we have made over the years to improve the lives of both people and animals. Looking ahead, we are excited to formalize our efforts and dedicate even more time to making a significant difference in the world.

Future Plans

What began as a simple act of kindness is becoming something extraordinary. Bringing joy to others is deeply fulfilling, and our dream is now turning into a lasting reality.

Our plans and ideas for this country exceed every imagination.

Our goal is to uplift every underprivileged individual and ensure every animal is protected and well cared for. While immediate aid like meals is crucial, we are dedicated to empowering people towards self-sufficiency and independence through opportunities that enable them to thrive.

Future generations deserve a world free from environmental threats. Namma Kuteera is dedicated to cleaning up our surroundings, promoting eco-friendly practices, and raising awareness about global warming. We focus on providing quality education to every child and supporting parents to ensure they can provide for their families, working towards a future where everyone can thrive.

Empowering women to earn a living is a top priority, as educating a woman benefits her whole family. Ensuring every woman understands and acts on this is crucial to our success. Namma Kuteera is dedicated to creating and applying effective measures to address and tackle this issue.

My daughter has always aspired to a world where every animal is treated with the care and compassion of family. Her commitment to helping the voiceless has become our mission at Namma Kuteera. Building a dog shelter is a top priority for us, and we are fully dedicated to realizing this goal.
